EMR > Queues

Medical Records users have queue labels of their own. They have the ability to view patients in queue, accept patients in queue, delete/reject and skip patients in queue, postpone and re-queue patients, proceed patient to next queue, and lastly, bill the patient for their encounter.

Steps in Managing Queues

To accept patients in queue:
Click on the patient’s name.
Confirm the accommodation.
To postpone or reject patient in queue:
Click the “more options” button
Click “Postpone” to put patient in the postpone tab.
Enter reason for postponement.
Click “Cancel” to remove patient in queue.
Enter reason for cancellation.





IMPORTANT NOTE: Postponing can also be done in the queue list by clicking the “More Options” button and then selecting “Postpone”.


NOTE: Once accommodated, the user will be directed to the encounter page wherein they can perform the same actions as discussed in Records Management.


To bill a patient:
Click the “Bill Encounter” button.
User will automatically be directed to a billing invoice wherein users can add more service item, product item, and coupon item.




Click “Save” to proceed patient to their next queue.
Click “Save & End Encounter” to end the patient’s encounter.



Appointments

Users can also set the patient’s next appointment.

To add a new appointment:
Click the appointment button
Select the appointment type, time, the clinic staff to attend to the patient, the name of the patient, and the reason for appointment.
Click “create” to save.



To set an appointment through the Doctor Dashboard:
Click the desired date of the appointment.
Select the appointment type, time, the clinic staff to attend to the patient, the name of the patient, and the reason for appointment.
Click “create” to save.



To confirm an appointment:
Click the time of the appointment on the calendar.
Click “confirm”.
To cancel, just click “Cancel Appointment”.
